Last weekend was the highlight of the year for the young musicians of the Talentstrings, the junior section of the Lucerne Festival Strings Orchestra: a short tour of Germany with concerts in Potsdam and Berlin and a visit to a concert by the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra.
Mayoris AG supported the trip financially and is pleased to be able to make a small contribution to the development of young musicians.
The almost 20 young musicians, aged between 10 and 17, played with a group of young musicians from Potsdam and 5 members of the Lucerne Festival Strings Orchestra, conducted by Daniel Dodds. The string orchestra, consisting of violins, violas, cellos and 2 double basses, played works by Jenkins, Holst, Mozart, Grieg and Tchaikovsky.
